Spring Finds

As it's 20 degrees now when I'm writing this, I am desperately dreaming of warmer weather! I love when the boutiques start to put out all their spring stuff. Although I typically wear color all year round it's fun to see ALL the color make an appearance this time of year, like brights and pastels. I've loved shopping and finding some fun spring picks for you ladies! You can shop through the links below or by clicking directly on the photo!

Leopard Sunnies - I love a good cat eye and the leopard really makes these pop!

Colorful Stacked Bracelets - These are so fun to wear everyday! I love the rainbow colors and how they're a double band.

Pixi Lip Icing - GUYS. I just recently bought this shade in the color Cookie and let me tell you the shimmer on this is so amazing! I found this in my screenshots on my phone and obviously needed to try it. The perfect shade for daily wear!

Color Block Maxi - From one of my favorite boutiques, Red Dress! They always are my go to for vacation shopping and this dress screams I am going on vaca. I love the color blocking! *Photo listed is from RedDress.com*

Leopard Sneaker - These little shoes are on sale for $50 right now! They add the perfect flair to any spring outfit. I always pair my leopard shoes with a plain top!

Blue Long Sleeve Top- Another great staple for Spring especially while it's still chilly. This blue color is so pretty!

Are you guys already shopping for spring?! What are you on the lookout for?

Springtime Finds

Happy April! I feel like this year is really cruising by. I am so ready for sunshine though! I was in Columbus last weekend and it was literally snowing.. brrrr. Even more reason for me to be dreaming of the warm weather and new springtime accessories. I've complied some of my recent favs! You can shop by either clicking the photo or on my links below!

Blue Light Glasses - I just ordered these today because I am looking at a computer/phone screen all day everyday. This pair has several color options and is under $20! I also figured I would test them out with a cheaper pair versus some of the more expensive ones I've seen.

Pink Statement Earrings - I know I know I have a statement earring problem but these ones are perfect to add to your spring wardrobe! Plus they're on sale for $25!

Leopard Keychain Pouch - This is perfect for errands to put your credit card/ ID in and attach right to your keyring. Sometimes I hate carrying around a big bag to the grocery store! The best part is it's under $8! What a steal.

Nude Peeptoe Booties - A spring staple. I usually get a new pair of these each spring/summer because I wear them almost everyday! Between work and outings, they get tons of use.

Vacay Sweatshirt - Great for travel and summer nights! I love throwing on a sweatshirt with denim shorts.

Sunnies - I just got a pair of basic black sunnies and I LOVE them! Perfect to pair with anything all spring/summer long.

Bow Hairties - These have been all the rage lately and I can't get enough of them!

I hope you guys are having a good week!

Violet Skye Boutique

Happy Sunday loves! I've been decluttering all day and it feels SO GOOD to throw things away. You never realize how much randomness you have until you start opening drawers and cabinets. With all this spring cleaning I am still waiting for the spring weather to reach Pittsburgh! On Saturday we woke up to a little dusting of snow. Literally insane!

While I wait for it to warm up I've been doing some spring outfit planning in the meantime to get me into a warm weather mindset! I played dress up a few weekends ago with a couple items from Violet Skye Boutique! Also shoutout to Mandie for taking these pictures for me in 30 degree weather! We were running back to the car to warm up between outfit changes.

The first item I styled was this super pretty red floral top! The sleeves hit 3/4 length and they have a little tie detailing at the end. It's extremely versatile to dress up or down. Here I've paired it with some light wash fringe jeans and nude wedges for a more casual look. I would wear this to dinner and drinks! If you want to dress it up a little more you could pair it with white pants and peep toe heels. For size reference I'm wearing a medium.

The second item I styled was this belle sleeved navy floral dress! I love the pops of color against the navy. Here I styled it with some tassel earrings and peep toe booties! Springtime means lots of bridal and baby showers which this dress would be perfect for. I'm wearing a size medium for reference.

To get either the top or dress just direct message Violet Skye on Instagram! Make sure to follow them as well to keep up on all their new arrivals!

Have a good week!

Lilac Off the Shoulder Top

First of all, how is it already April?! I feel like this year has literally flown by. Maybe last year because I was so focused on the wedding that time seemed slower? Who knows, but I'm so excited to go home for Easter next weekend!

Every Spring I love the pastel hues that hit the store sales floor. I also feel like I re fall in love with the color lilac. It literally used to be my favorite color! My room was even painted a pretty lilac when I was younger. So when I saw this Off the Shoulder top from Dreamboat Boutique I knew it was a Spring must have!

I've paired it with white jeans, wedges & turquoise tassel earrings. I definitely will be wearing this outfit for Easter! The top is super flowy, with gorgeous bell sleeves! A perfect statement detail that will have everyone asking where you bought it. I also love the white lace trim around the top & sleeves. So feminine & literally screams SPRING! The turquoise earrings add another pop of color to complete the look. I also counted how many tassel earrings I have the other day.. it's out of control. Finish off with some pink sunnies & a monogrammed clutch & you're all set! I'm wearing a Medium for size reference.

Definitely check out Dreamboat Boutique for so many other springtime goodies! It's super affordable & who doesn't love supporting small businesses?!

Have a good Thursday!

Pink Sunday Experience

So for the past few days I have been obsessed with the hashtag #LillyforTarget. The mix of tweets and Instagram posts are insane! From a marketing perspective it was genius. Did anyone else notice that Lilly released their summer line on Monday, the day after their Lilly for Target launch? They got the buzz they needed right? I mean I guarantee a person not in their regular customer group was more likely to go to their site to check out "real Lilly" after the shopping frenzy that occurred on Sunday!

My Sunday went a little like this... in the early AM hours I was on the Target website endlessly refreshing. They announced the line would release between midnight and 2am. Around 1:30 I was still up so I decided why not? Can't hurt to wait 30 minutes. At 2am, they announced that it would be another hour before the site was up. By 3:30am I was able to start adding items to my cart. But after 15 minutes of trying to check out it wasn't working so I decided to cut my losses and get some sleep.

By 7am I was up rushing around to get over to Target. I figured at 7:30 I would drive by to see if there was a line. I honestly thought there wouldn't be one and that I was being crazy about the whole thing! Well, there was a line formed at the door so I quickly jumped out of my car and got into the group. I was talking to the girl behind me and we were both shocked at the line at this particular Target. I mean I knew people that I was friends with liked Lilly, but I didn't realize it was such a huge deal in Pittsburgh too. Or everywhere for that matter. My new Lilly friend and I made a deal that if either of us saw the coffee mugs first to snag them for each other.

At 8am people started to rush inside. I honestly think I was in shock. I wasn't expecting it to be such a mad dash. By the time I got to the rack most of the shifts were already off the hangers.. so I grabbed what I could in my size and made a run for the home section. I got to that section before the big group, so I instantly grabbed the mugs and pineapple dish. I also snagged a pillow and tote bag. At this point everything was flying off the shelves.

I literally checked out and was back at my apartment by 8:15am! The whole experience was actually kinda fun! I definitely was one of the lucky ones!!

If you don't follow me already check out the pictures I posted on Instagram (@Tay.andCo) of my purchases!

What did you manage to snag on Sunday?

The Green Skirt

Happy Easter everyone! I was very blessed to be able to spend the weekend in Richmond, VA with my family. I love all of the fun springtime outfits people wear on Easter Sunday. They are so bright and colorful!

I chose to wear a kelly green skirt from eShakti a customized clothing company! eShakti allows the customer to choose a design and customize the dimensions to your height. When I selected this skirt I was able to decide if I wanted it above, right at, or below my knees. I love that I got a custom piece without the huge price tag.

I picked a piece that I thought was very unique and different than the clothes in my closet. It definitely makes a statement for spring! My favorite part is the white detailing on the bow and that it has pockets!

Home Sweet Apartment

So far we haven't done much decorating in the apartment so I ran errands all day yesterday finding items to brighten up our space!

A lot of the apartments in our complex have wreaths on their front doors. So I decided it would be fun to craft one for ours! I got all of the materials at JoAnn Fabrics, but you can get them at any craft store.

The base of the wreath is foam, and these circles come in different sizes and shapes. I picked one that was medium size. Burlap is the perfect covering, because it goes with any colored flowers and gives an outdoorsy feel. I also picked up wire cutters, greening pins, a door hook and bright fake flowers!

Step 1: Wrap the entire base with burlap using the greening pins to secure it to the foam.

Step 2: Use the wire cutters to cut the flowers and leaves you want to display on your wreath. Make sure to leave part of the stem on the flowers so you can stick them into the foam base. I just played around with the flowers and leaves until I had the design I wanted!

Step 3: Hang it up!

It is so easy to make a unique wreath for your front door, the possibilities are endless! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
